Francis Ngannou is 'expected' to compete on a mega-card following his PFL split.
Ngannou's time with the PFL ended on Friday after they parted ways.
He joined the PFL from the UFC in 2023 and fought under the banner just once when he thrashed Renan Ferreira at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants in October 2024, having ventured into boxing to face Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in back-to-back lucrative fights in Saudi Arabia.
Ngannou's PFL deal also saw him oversee its expansion into Africa.

A PFL statement read: "The Professional Fighters League has made the decision to part ways with Francis Ngannou. We have great respect for Francis as both an athlete and a person, and we wish him success in the next chapter of his combat sports career.
"The PFL remains focused on recruiting and signing the best athletes in the sport while continuing to deliver world-class competition for fans around the globe."
What's next for the 39-year-old? Well, it appears his next assignment will take place in a cage on a blockbuster event as Blake Avignon claims 'The Predator' is 'expected' to join the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card.

Most Valuable Promotions are promoting Rousey vs. Carano on May 16 and it's their first foray into the world of MMA, having staged several high-profile boxing fights involving Jake Paul.
MVP's first MMA event will be aired on Netflix and will reportedly boast Ngannou on the card.
His opponent has not yet been determined.
On X, Avignon wrote: "@francis_ngannou is expected to compete on the upcoming @MostVpromotions x @netflix fight card headlined by @RondaRousey vs. @ginacarano, sources familiar with the event say.
"Negotiations are being finalised. Ngannou’s opponent has not yet been determined and is not expected to be a marquee name."
The ex-UFC star has won seven MMA fights in a row since his defeat to Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 in 2018.
He has beaten the likes of Cain Velasquez, Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane, claiming the UFC heavyweight title in the process.
Whether Ngannou has joined MVP's stable or it's just a one-fight deal remains to be seen.
