Simeon Powell and Mohamed Amine head up PFL Europe debut this weekend in Newcastle

Europe’s New MMA League, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) Europe makes its long-awaited debut on Saturday and all the action kicks-off with a cracker of a card.

The event at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle in the first of the PFL Europe Regular Season, before it heads to Berlin in Germany on 8th July at the Verti Music Hall.

Winners of each regular season event will advance to the Play-off at the Zenith in Paris on 30th September, before the four PFL Europe Champions will be crowned at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on 8th December.

All the action on the night can be seen on DAZN, and headlining night one is the light heavyweight clash between England’’s Simeon Powell, who is undefeated in his 7 bouts to date, and he will come up against the Netherlands’ Mohamed Amine.

It’s set to be an epic battle on the night, which also includes fellow England prospect Dakota Ditcheva’s flyweight clash with Sweden’s Malin Hermansson.

Like Powell, Ditcheva’s record also stands at 7-0-0, but the Swede stands in the way of carrying on that unbeaten streak on debut night.

There’s another women’s flyweight clash which sees Belgium’s Griet Eeckhout face off against Portugal’s Mafalda Carmona.

Back in the Men’s light heavyweight division, Riccardo Nosiglia of Italy, comes up against Jakob Nedoh of Slovenia.
