Mark Zuckerberg aimed brutal dig at rival Elon Musk over proposed MMA cage fight between billionaires

Mark Zuckerberg has aimed a brutal dig at Elon Musk over their proposed MMA cage fight.

Last year, Musk and Meta boss Zuckerberg agreed to do battle inside the cage after a social media exchange in which the latter had told the Tesla boss to "send me location".

Musk then suggested the Las Vegas Octagon as a potential location for the fight, before giving details of his 'finishing move': "I have this great move that I call 'The Walrus', where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing."

However, the fight is yet to materialise and taking to Threads in August, Zuckerberg aimed a dig at Musk as he gave an update on what the latest development was.

Zuckerberg wrote: “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on.

“Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”

He added: “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me.”

Commenting on the fight last year, UFC boss Dana White claimed the pair are "dead serious" and has expressed his interest in staging the bizarre bout.

White has said it would be "the biggest fight ever in the history of the world" and one that would triple the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor boxing showdown - while even saying the pay-per-view price would be $100 (£78.62) but with the money going towards a charity.

TMZ Sports, citing "sources with direct knowledge" say that an government official from Italy has been in touch with Zuckerberg in regards to put on the event on at the iconic Colosseum in Rome.

However, to the disappointment of many fans around the world, it looks like the fight will not be happening anytime soon.
