Conor McGregor shows off drastic new look and sends the internet into meltdown

Conor McGregor looks unrecognisable with his new look, which has garnered plenty of reaction from fans online.

Conor McGregor has staggered fans by showing off a drastic new look in a video posted to his Twitter.

The two-weight UFC champion has undergone several changes to his appearance over the years - including an utterly jacked physique which is a far cry from the shape he was in as a featherweight.

He's flip-flopped between a series of different hairstyle, ranging from a shaved head to slicked back and braided hair.

Fairly recently McGregor got rid of his trademark beard to sport a clean shaven look and that didn't too well with people online, with the Irishman even responding to the haters.

But the Notorious fighter has gone a level above that, completely sending the internet into meltdown with his latest look.

Taking to social media, the Ultimate Fighter coach posted a bizarre video at 3am of him with a shock new goatee, panning the camera right on his face and cracking a beaming smile.

However, the general consensus was that McGregor does not suit such a style and he got rinsed by fans aplenty - with shouts of Hulk Hogan, Chuck Liddell and even Joe Exotic of Tiger King fame.

One wrote: "Hulk McGregor or Conor Hogan."

A second said: "Conor Hogan, brother."

A third joked: "Conor McGregor looking like he's about to be the star in the next Starsky and Hutch movie."

A fourth added: "Bro looking like Undertaker during the American badass era."

Another commented: "Conor Liddell or Chuck McGregor?"

A final user concluded: "Yeah this dude is not fighting. He completely lost it."

McGregor is slated to have his comeback fight against TUF rival coach Michael Chandler - with December 16 the date being mentioned.

He still needs to undergo USADA drug testing, with his last test submitted in the third quarter of 2021.

Dana White has said it's possible he makes his return in early 2024 should the UFC 296 main event not happen.
