American mixed martial artist and actor Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, his family have announced.
Norris held black belts in karate, taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo categories.
He even developed his own fighting style, Chun Kuk Do.
Norris was renowned for his action and martial arts-based films, including Code of Silence, The Octagon and An Eye For An Eye in the 1980s, and incorporated his MMA knowledge into his acting.

In a statement published to his official Instagram account on Friday, Norris' family wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.
"While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.
"To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.
"He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.
"While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him.
"The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly thankful for it. To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.
"We know many of you had heard about his recent hospitalization, and we are truly grateful for the prayers and support you sent his way.
"As we grieve this loss, we kindly ask for privacy for our family during this time. Thank you for loving him with us."
Norris had five children, and was married to former model and actress Gena O'Kelley since 1998. He previously had a 31-year marriage with Dianne Holechek, one of his classmates at high school, between 1958 and 1989.
He was a long-time fan of the UFC, and was invited to the first-ever Ultimate Fighting Championship event in 1993 - only to turn it down.
Speaking in 2012, he said: "Rorion Gracie put on the first mixed martial arts event in Denver, Colarado, 28 years ago.
"In fact, he called up and wanted me to be a part of his event in Denver.
"I said, 'Rorion, what are exactly are you doing?' He said, 'Well, I'm gonna put two guys in a cage and only one walks out. Anything goes'.
"I said, 'Oh man, someone's gonna get killed. I don't think I want to be a part of that!' So I turned it down."
Norris did make an appearance in the WWE a year later, in 1994.
He was the special guest referee for The Undertaker's match against Yokozuna at Survivor Series, helping The Undertaker to pick up the victory after hitting Jeff Jarrett with a roundhouse kick.
