Rory McIlroy's caddie set to earn staggering fee after record Masters prize money payout
Rory McIlroy's caddie Harry Diamond will receive a recording-breaking amount of prize money following their historic victory at the 2025 Masters.
McIlroy finally ended his drought in golfing majors when he beat Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff at Augusta on Sunday despite blowing a four-shot lead.
"It was all relief. There wasn't much joy in that reaction. It was all relief," The 35-year-old explained after his historic win.
"The joy came pretty soon after that. But I've been coming here 17 years, and it was a decade-plus of emotion that came out of me there."

As usual, Diamond accompanied his lifelong friend as caddie through the four rounds of the Masters weekend, and he is set to be rewarded with a huge payout.
According to experienced looper, Brennan Little, on average a caddie can expect to earn £1,500 per week on the PGA Tour.
He told Golf Monthly in 2022: "I think $2,000 (£1,500) a week is pretty average, but everything is worked out between you and the player.
"After a few years, you'll get a raise. Or you'll get bonuses at the end of the year. It just varies by the player."
Caddies also have to arrange their own expenses. With airfare, hotel, rental car, and food all coming from their own pay cheque for most.
How much will Diamond earn from McIlroy's win
However, that won't be much of an issue for Diamond who will take home a staggering $420,000 from McIlroy's $4.2 million in prize money.
Caddies have always received 10% of their golfer's winnings, with Ted Scott earning $360,000 of Scotty Schelffer's $3.2 million in 2024. But with 2025 providing a record-breaking prize pot, it was also a record-breaking payout for a caddie.
McIlroy spoke on his special relationship with Diamond following his Masters win and had to hold back tears when opening up about their time together.
“I’ve known Harry since I was seven years old,” McIlroy said.
"I met him on the putting green at Holywood Golf Club. We've had so many good times together. He's been like a big brother to me the whole way through my life.
"To be able to share this with him after all the close calls that we've had, all the [nonsense] that he's had to take from people that don't know anything about the game, yeah, this one is just as much his as it is mine.
"He's a massive part of what I do, and I couldn't think of anyone better to share it with than him," he added.
