Since Max Verstappen recently spoke out about the pain he was in when he overtook Sir Lewis Hamilton in the final lap at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and won, Formula One fans are now wondering what the race car driver’s net worth is in 2022.

The Dutch native recently told The Guardian: “I had a very good season and I think I really deserved it.

“I have been really unlucky as well. People always remember the last race but, if you look at the whole season, the championship should have been decided way earlier.”

What is Max Verstappen’s net worth in 2022?

Max Verstappen has an estimated net worth of $30 million (£22 million) in 2022, according to Wealthy Persons.

The Sun reported that Verstappen won £12 million in bonuses for his Formula One world championship win last year.

The race car champion also sells merchandise via a link in his Instagram bio, including a F1 Yearbook for his 2021 win for €34,95 (£29.44), and “minichamp” model race cars which sell for up to €2995,00 (£2,522.82) alongside an autographed certificate.

Verstappen has also recently showcased his helmet for 2022 on his website, which is due to go on sale soon in the 1:2 and the 1:4 scale sizes.

When he was age 17, the race car driver became Formula One’s youngest ever competitor, and one year later, becoming the youngest race winner in Barcelona in 2016. Now aged 24, he is the Netherlands’ first world champion in the sport.

It won’t come as a surprise to learn that the racer is the son of former F1 driver Jos Verstappen and ex-kart driving champion Sophie Kumpen.

Following in his family’s footsteps, the racer is said to still be close with his family.
