Holly Willoughby has spoken out for the first time after the ITV presenter and comedian Michael McIntyre were pushed out of the way by Kim Kardashian's entourage at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Kardashian and her sister, Khloe, made their first-ever appearances in the Formula 1 paddock during the Monaco weekend.

Kim was present to support her partner Lewis Hamilton, who finished in second place for the second consecutive Grand Prix.

Prior to the Grand Prix getting underway, Willoughby and McIntyre were interviewed by Sky Sports F1's Natalie Pinkham on the Monaco grid.

But they were pushed back as Kardashian's entourage flanked them, with McIntyre running after them in an attempt to grab a word with Kim or Khloe.

"We've got a live update," he shouted, after running back towards the cameras. "I've just been hit by, like, a wave... you know when you're on holiday and a wave hits you? And it's like, 'That's actually quite dangerous'. We've been Kardashian-waved!"

Willoughby, laughing, exclaimed: "That was ridiculous! You nearly joined in."

McIntyre claimed his back had 'gone', adding: "I think something belonging to Kim - I'm not mentioning anything - may have struck me in my lower back area."

Both Willoughby and McIntyre watched the Grand Prix, which was won by Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, from a paddock balcony area as guests of the Williams team and their team principal James Vowles.

Willoughby has since taken to Instagram - and very much saw the funny side of the brief encounter with the Kardashians.

"What a weekend! Monaco you didn't disappoint," she wrote.

"Williams F1 Team and James Vowles, thank you for having us, hard to pick a highlight, grid walks, hot laps (I will post this later, safe to say I wasn't built for speed), all topped off by getting caught up in a Kim Kardashian fly past.

"That's one weekend I'll never forget."

She then shared a clip of the Kardashian moment to her Instagram Stories, which showed her and McIntyre being caught up in a 'wave'.

McIntyre is yet to comment.

What happened during Kim Kardashian's Monaco appearance

After arriving in the paddock on Saturday, interest in social media megastar Kardashian was understandably sky-high among those present in Monaco.

She watched qualifying from a balcony area above Ferrari's garage, before she appeared on the grid before the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Kardashian smiled at Sky F1 reporter Martin Brundle during his gridwalk, but decided not to speak to him after one of her security entourage whispered in her ear.

She then watched the Monaco podium ceremony as Hamilton collected his second place trophy - his second consecutive finish in that position.

Prior to the ceremony, the social media megastar picked up a towel from the number one plinth, which had been placed there for race winner Antonelli.

She walked away with it, seemingly not knowing what it was there for, and wiped her face with it.
