The budding midfielder was given another chance to impress new boss Erik ten Hag and he made the most of his opportunity, delivering a stellar showing in the middle of the park.

He was extremely comfortable on the ball and always offered himself to receive a pass, which highlights his confidence.

The Iraq international also carried the ball nicely and showed off his skill, brilliantly producing a turn that Zinedine Zidane would've been proud of.

His one-touch game was very sharp, flicking the ball around the corner to his teammates on a couple of occasions to start attacks.

@academyarenaUTD shared a clip of his amazing performance, with fans online marveling over his display.

Speaking after the game, Iqbal touched on the potential of breaking into Ten Hag's squad for the 2022/23 season.

"If I get my chance then I’m going to try and take it," he told The United Stand. "Even if I don’t, I won’t stop working hard in the (under) 23s but, with confidence, it’s in your head. Once you’re in the game you try and be more involved. Confidence is massive."

The youngster added: "If the opportunity does come to go out on loan or to stay, I’d weigh up my pros and cons at the time. Right now, I’d probably say it’s too early to say, but we’ll see what the future holds."

Iqbal will likely have another chance to shine when Man United resume their pre-season tour of Australia against fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace next Tuesday.
