A YouTube live stream was forced to shut down on Sunday afternoon after YouTube and TikTok personality Tom Garratt appeared to 'snap his arm' while arm wrestling.

Garratt, who has over 139,000 followers on TikTok, was joined by Theo Baker, ChrisMD and WillNE on YouTube channel Pitchside for their watchalong of Newcastle vs Arsenal when the incident played out.

As you can see in the footage below, Garratt can be seen having an arm wrestle with fellow YouTube star Theo Baker ahead of kick-off.

But seconds into the contest, the right arm of Garratt makes a loud clicking noise when Baker pushes down and panic starts to set in almost immediately.

A black background then emerged on screen before the live watchalong of Newcastle's clash against Arsenal was cut short.

Chris Dixon, who was sat close to Garratt when the incident played out, confirmed that his fellow YouTuber has since gone to hospital.

"Quite an achievement to make the worst sound ever heard on Pitch Side with Theo’s football opinions," Dixon said on Twitter. "Tom is okay, in A&E now."

Here's how social media reacted to the incident.

One said: "This is why i don't do arm wrestles and can't look whenever people are having an arm wrestle," while another commented: "This is why I will never do an arm wrestle."

A third wrote: "That was horrible, Wishing you a speedy recovery mate @Tgarratt10"

Arsenal went 1-0 ahead after just 14 minutes at St James' Park on Sunday after in-form midfielder Martin Odegaard scored a wonderful goal from 25 yards.

At the time of writing, Mikel Arteta's side are one point behind leaders Manchester City, but the Citizens have a game in hand.

Arsenal will face Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves in their final three games of the Premier League campaign.
