France star Karim Benzema has been left furious and outraged by manager Didier Deschamps and has no plans to fly out to Qatar for the World Cup final.

On the eve of the tournament, the striker was ruled out of the competition after sustaining a thigh injury during a training session.

According to Spanish news outlet Libertad Digital, Benzema is not happy with the way Deschamps has dealt with this matter. The France manager sent Benzema home after the injury and comments made by Deschamps during his press conferences have not gone down well too.

It was reported that Benzema only required three days of treatment at Real Madrid’s training centre before he went away on holiday, it is believed that he has now recovered from the injury.

The report also states that the Ballon d’Or winner will not travel to Qatar for the final despite being named in the squad, he will be a world champion if France were to clinch the trophy on Sunday.

In addition, it has been claimed that Benzema did not leave the French camp voluntarily and was instead ‘sent off’ by Deschamps, who apparently told the striker: “What a pity Karim that you have to leave.”

The message from Deschamps left Benzema feeling that he was not wanted by his manager.

During the group stage, Deschamps was asked about Benzema, he replied: “Wow. Well, I’m not sure [what to say], that’s really not something that I’m thinking about.

“You seem to know a lot about the situation but I haven’t really been following who has been saying what.”

After the semi-final against Morocco, Deschamps was asked about Benzema again, he puffed his cheeks and said: “I don't really want to answer that question. Next question.”

According to El Chiringuito, Benzema was involved in Madrid’s 1-1 friendly draw against Leganes on Thursday.

France meanwhile will take on Argentina at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday as both teams battle for World Cup glory.
