Footage of a fan getting busted by his girlfriend at the World Cup has gone viral.

The pair were in the crowd during Brazil’s quarter-final clash against Croatia.

During what was a break in play, the couple were caught by one of the many cameras dotted around the stadium and appeared on the big screen.

The man was seen holding up his phone as his partner looked into it whilst applying make up onto her eyes.

However, things quickly turned as the man appeared to catch the attention of someone who was off-screen, he smiled and winked at them several times.

At this moment, his girlfriend looked up straight away, and stared at the man unimpressively. Whilst it was not sure whether the girl was unhappy about her man’s behaviour or the phone moving around too much for her liking.

Nevertheless, the clip went viral, with one user posting the video with a caption that read: “Best thing I’ve seen at the World Cup so far.” The Twitter user also provided a brilliant running commentary of the whole situation.

Fans also reacted to the clip on social media.

One said: “She wasn’t even looking at bruh, them spider senses was real though.”

Another tweeted: “Bro how did she know? She wasn’t even looking.”

A third fan added: “She felt a disturbance in the force. It’s intuitive!”

Someone else commented: “Wake up honey new bare minimum just dropped.”

The couple’s mood would have been even worse as Brazil crashed out of the World Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout defeat against the 2018 finalist Croatia.

Croatia will now take on Argentina for a place in the final.
