WATCH: Luka Modric Receive A Ridiculous Yellow Card For Real Madrid
Real Madrid beat Dortmund 3-1 in a result that leaves the German side's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League last 16 in tatters.
Gareth Bale fired the away side in front with a well-taken goal in the first-half before Cristiano Ronaldo did what he does best as he netted on his 400th Real Madrid appearance.
However, the most bizarre moment of the game came when Luka Modric was shown a yellow card for counting the distance between the ball and the Madrid wall.
Dortmund were awarded a free-kick 30 yards from goal and the Croatian was visibly unhappy with the referee's counting.
The former Tottenham ace decided to take the matter into his own hands, as he walked over to the ball and took 10 paces towards the Madrid wall.
Modric recounting 10-yards clearly didn't go down well with the ref.
Though his decision to brandish Modric with a yellow was ridiculed on social media:
