Vinicius Jr copies Antony's trademark move, fans think he might be mocking him

Vinicius Jr was seen mimicking Antony ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City.

Vinicius Jr appeared to copy the trademark skill seen by his compatriot Antony in Real Madrid training ahead of the huge Champions League second leg against Manchester City.

After being stranded outside of Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, Los Blancos did eventually make their way to the Etihad Stadium for a training session.

Vinicius was a joy to watch in the first leg and opened the scoring with a thunderous strike past Ederson.

He'll no doubt be relishing a second visit to the Etihad after finding the net last season. And in the training session, the 22-year-old was in fine spirits as he mimicked United star Antony.

The former Ajax man has caused a huge stir in his debut season at United with his signature spin. He did it in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea and then in a Europa League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol, which angered manager Erik ten Hag and prompted Paul Scholes to brand it "ridiculous" after he passed the ball out of play following the showboating.

Antony has defended his way of expressing himself and Vinicius has been doing his best impression of him, performing a 360 spin and laughing as he did it.

And naturally it garnered a whole lot of reaction in the comments.

One fan wrote: "He's making fun of Antony."

A second stated: "People don’t call Vini a fidget spinner but when it’s a man United player they do."

Another added: "He’s taking the p*** out of Antony."

Vinicius, who scored the winner in the Champions League final last season, has hit 23 goals for Real this season and fans have noticed his brought back an iconic pre-match ritual.

He slaps a hefty amount of VapoRub on his chest prior to kick-off, something Patrick Vieira used to do in his pomp while at Arsenal.

As per players, Marca, players do it to help open nasal passages and decongest the nose for when they are playing.
