Trent Alexander-Arnold's Stunning Highlights From Liverpool's FA Cup Victory Proves He's World Class

Trent Alexander-Arnold's Stunning Highlights From Liverpool's FA Cup Victory Proves He's World Class

Alexander-Arnold was at his brilliant best in Liverpool's win over Chelsea.

Trent Alexander-Arnold produced another exceptional performance for Liverpool as they beat Chelsea on penalties in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Alexander-Arnold scored his spot kick in the shootout as Liverpool won 6-5 on penalties after the final had ended goalless at Wembley.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson produced a superb save to deny Mason Mount, allowing Kostas Tsimikas to score the winning spot-kick for Jurgen Klopp's side.

It was a repeat of this season's Carabao Cup final when Liverpool also beat Chelsea on penalties at Wembley.

While there may have been a lack of goals on Saturday, the final was not short on excitement – with Alexander-Arnold in the thick of the action at both ends of the pitch.

Helping to contribute to Liverpool's clean sheet with a determined defensive performance, Alexander-Arnold was also a constant threat going forward.

Early on in the game, he produced a moment of magic as Liverpool made a strong start to the final.

The England international hit a first time, outside-of-the-boot through ball into the path of Luis Diaz, who was then superbly denied by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

It was just one of a number of chances set up by Alexander-Arnold during the final.

A compilation of his impressive performance has since gone viral on social media, which you can watch below.

Saturday's victory means Alexander-Arnold has now 'completed' club football at the age of just 23 after winning the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup with his boyhood club.

Speaking after the victory over Chelsea, Alexander-Arnold said: "[It feels] unreal, to be honest.

"I was sat there thinking this is the only one I’ve got left now to complete the set and to do it is an amazing feeling.

"It's something that I've dreamed of and it's something that not many players can say they have done, so to be able to do it with this amazing club and this amazing team is a special feeling for me."

Alexander-Arnold could add more silverware to his collection this season with Liverpool still in contention for the quadruple.

Klopp's side are three points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City with two games remaining in the campaign.

The Reds are also through to the Champions League final on May 28, where they will face Real Madrid at the Stade de France in Paris.
