Wanted Manchester United Player Reveals Determination To Stay At Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho will be happy to know that despite being wanted by one of Europe's best sides his player wants to stay.

There's two very important parts for any manager in the transfer window. Of course there's the recruitment of players that you want but you've also got to keep the players in your squad that you need. Jose Mourinho will be pretty happy about this update.

AC Milan's transfer window has been regarded as one of the best in Europe as they've brought in the likes of Andre Silva, Frank Kessie and especially Leonardo Bonucci but probably one of their biggest achievements is keeping Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Everton's brilliant recruitment drive this summer has been slightly dented by Romelu Lukaku although their tactic of replacing him with the players who are to equal the sum of his parts lessens the blow.

So far the transfer window has been okay for Manchester United with the additions of Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof, although Jose Mourinho clearly wants and needs a couple more players.

The last thing the United boss needs is a very important squad player being distracted by reported advances from Juventus so he'll be happy to hear Matteo Darmian has no thoughts of leaving Old Trafford:

"Every time I read something about my future... but [there is] nothing news [wise]. I am happy here. I think also it is a part of our work, these kind of rumours.

"Like I said before, I am happy here so nothing news [wise]. I am a Manchester United player - that's it."

Darmian hasn't always been as good as might have been hoped for when he signed from Torino two years ago but he is a solid full-back and his versatility make him an excellent squad player.

Talking about his best side the 27 year-old said, "I always say the position doesn't matter to me if I have to play left or right." I work hard to be ready when the manager gives me an opportunity and that's it."

With the squad being a bit short on full-backs Mourinho will be happy to hear Darmian has no intention of joining Juventus or any of the other Italian clubs he's been linked with like Napoli and Inter Milan.
