Swansea On Verge Of Completing Deal For World Cup Winner

Swansea are about to make a major summer acquisition ahead of the new Premier League season.

Sevilla are suggesting that Fernando Llorente's departure is imminent as Swansea could be set to snap him up, and he could join as soon as tomorrow.

Monchi, Sevilla's sporting director, claimed that the club were close to finalising an agreement with a Premier League side, with him confirming that it is indeed Swansea.

Franceso Guidolin's side are in need of bolstering their attacking line with Eder, Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis already leaving Liberty Stadium.

Though the addition of the former Athletic Bilbao and Juventus frontman will provide much needed cover and experience. The Euro and World Cup winner is set to agree terms as he pens a two-year-deal with the Welsh outfit.

The 31-year-old has been a prolific striker during his career but has failed to make an impact in the last couple of seasons as a result of injuries and a lack of playing time yet Guidolin will be hoping he can rediscover his earlier form.

Quite the signing for the 'Swans.'
