Most players only get one article written about where they've officially gone each summer but Serge Gnabry is the exception to the rule. Just weeks after joining Bayern Munich he's off again.

There's a lot of transfer rumours in the summer. Partially because with no Euros or World Cup we need something to keep ourselves entertained and partially because, just like playing Football Manager, managers struggle to go a window without signing anyone.

So of course we end up contradicting ourselves quite a bit saying a player is on his way somewhere before making everyone look stupid by moving elsewhere or staying put after saying they wouldn't sign a new deal, although that only made Gianluigi Donnarumma look stupid.

Serge Gnabry left Werder Bremen earlier this summer after his one year deal with the Bundesliga club. At first he was linked with a move to Hoffenheim but soon he was signing on the dotted line for Bundesliga champions Bayern.

However the 22 year-old has already left the Allianz Arena and headed to Hoffenheim on a year long loan.

It was actually the player who asked for the transfer with club legend and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge telling the website, "It was Serge's explicit desire to be loaned for one more year so he could get more game time.

"In my opinion, this is also guaranteed at a high level at Hoffenheim. After a year, Serge Gnabry will return to FC Bayern.

"I wish Serge Gnabry on behalf of FC Bayern all the best with Hoffenheim and also thank you TSG for the serious and constructive discussions that took place that have led to this agreement."

Bayern were linked with the winger when he was leaving Arsenal and has clearly impressed the Carlo Ancelotti since moving back to his home country from England.

Arsenal fans will be devastated if he goes on to reach his potential, what might have been.
