Barcelona To Anger Real Madrid With Attempt To Steal Player For Free

Barcelona To Anger Real Madrid With Attempt To Steal Player For Free

Los Blancos will not want to lose a player to their fierce rivals for nothing.

Once upon a time Luis Figo moved from Barcelona to Real Madrid for a then world record fee of £37 million, it went down with very little reaction (sarcasm). But 17 years later Barcelona could start a near civil war if they sign a Real 'star' for absolutely nothing.

Figo was booed and whistled on his return to the Camp Nou and part way through the game Los Blancos won a corner. The Portuguese winger trotted over to the corner flag to take it and was met by the head of a pig that was thrown by one of the the Barca fans.

We could sit and discuss how a fan was able to get a pigs head into the stadium in the first place when it's difficult enough to be allowed to keep the bottle top from your bottle of Coke.

After the Mourinho and Pep years the rivalry between the two clubs has been stepped up even further but Barca want to make it even worse. According to AS Luis Enrique's side have been making googly eyes at Isco and are willing to wait till the end of next season to poach him on a free.

Check out our video on some of football's biggest rivalries:

The Spaniard has been linked with multiple clubs recently. If Real Madrid make a move for Dele Alli in the summer it's been rumoured that Spurs could ask for the 24 year old as part of the deal.

Real would obviously prefer to sell Isco in the summer and could potentially get a lot of money for him but as they wouldn't want to sell him on the cheap there wouldn't be many clubs able to afford him.

As such Barca could be able to persuade him to stay put at the Bernabeu for another year and then move to the Camp Nou for free in 18 months time, which would be a risky strategy.

It certainly wouldn't be a popular transfer in Madrid.

Will Barca sign Isco on a free in 2018?
