The footballing world took quite a while to recover from the needlessly tiring transfer saga of Neymar to PSG but we could be about to do it all over again this summer. If Neymar was to move to Real Madrid they could get some high profile help.

Transfer prices were already on the rise and then came PSG's decision to pay £198 million to sign Neymar from Barcelona, suddenly the Catalan side's release clause looked small fry and everyone's value went up.

Neymar left to become the best player in the world but despite setting Ligue 1 on fire he has suffered a double set back recently with the league leaders being knocked out of the Champions League by Real and he got injured for the rest of the season.

Rumours linking him with a return to La Liga but this time with Barca's rivals Real will just not go away and now Spanish media are suggesting they could have some help to sign him.

The move could cost Los Blancos in the region of €400 million, quite a steep price. But AS reckon that they could get a cash boost from sports manufacturer Nike to help pay the cost of the move despite Adidas being the team's sponsors.

The reason behind the potential financial help, according to the report, is in order for Nike to grease the wheels to potentially take over from Adidas as the 12 time Champions League winners kit manufacturer.

Nike sponsor Neymar and Real superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and are hoping to crash Adidas' deal with Los Blancos when the current contract expires in 2020. Helping to sign Neymar would obviously boost their chances.

Neymar in a Real shirt would obviously sell a lot of shirts and Nike would want to benefit from that, especially as he is their athlete.

How many of our top kits are Nike and how many are Adidas?

Another report in Spain, this time from SPORT, says that the Brazilian forward is hoping that his dad, who also acts as his agent, can get any deal done before the World Cup starts.

The 26 year old wants to head to Russia with nothing to worry about other than helping his country get over the heartbreak of four years ago when he finished the tournament injured.

Will Neymar be at the Bernabeu next season?
