Premier League Side Eye £20 Million Move For Jack Grealish

The Championship is really where the interest lies at the end of the season and one Premier League side will have a strong eye on the promotion race as they consider a move for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.

Manchester City wrapping up the Premier League title on Sunday was an inevitability but the problem is that the title race isn't the only thing that's over in the Premier League in truth.

Whilst there's still five games to go and a lot could still change it's starting to look like the bottom three right now will be the ones to get relegated and the top four will finish there, even if the positions could yet be different.

So the interest lies in the Championship where, despite Wolves already being promoted, the races for second, the play-off spots and to avoid relegation all remain up in the air.

One side still hoping to go up automatically but will be one of the favourites for the play-off should they fail is Aston Villa, Steve Bruce's side are four points outside the automatic places.

There's now an interesting twist in their plot for promotion in the form of Jack Grealish. According to the Mirror, Leicester City want to sign the mercurial midfielder if Villa don't get promoted with a £20 million offer in the offing.

Grealish has had an up and down career since coming through Villa's academy which has included ridicule for changing international allegiance to England from Ireland only to fall further from the national set up.

However in the last few months he has got closer to the form that his undoubted talent warrants and has clearly caught the eye of those watching from the Premier League.

Grealish could even be a replacement for Riyad Mahrez should the Algerian forward finally leave the King Power Stadium in the summer.

The 22 year old, who represented Ireland at youth level, is only on £20k-a-week but will be met with a boost to his wages if he helps Villa gain promotion back to the Premier League.
