Tom Ince was apparently once wanted by Inter Milan but the winger never made the move to Italy to everyone's surprise. However the Derby County player could soon be in the Premier League.

Tom Ince is somewhat of a paradox. It feels like he's been around for so long now that there's no way he's only 25 and yet somehow him being that old makes me feel pretty old myself.

The son of former Manchester United midfielder Paul, Tom came to prominence as a young Liverpool player when he made an appearance in the League Cup before joining his dad's Notts County side on loan.

He first really excelled in the Championship at Blackpool and earned himself a loan move to Crystal Palace in the Premier League before signing for Hull City when he could have moved to Inter.

In the last three seasons he has been part of Derby County's attempts to get promoted to the Premier League and according to Sky Sports he could be about to bypass the need for promotion.

Sky are reporting that Huddersfield Town have made a bid for him but it has been rejected. The newly promoted Terriers have only bid £7.2 million but would likely go back in with a new bid.

Fans reacted on Twitter and the thinking was that the initial bid was a bit too low:

Considering the transfer fees being paid by clubs these days it definitely seems like a very low price for a talented English player like Ince.

The former Liverpool man does deserve another go at the Premier League and you feel that David Wagner's team will come back with an improved bid for him.
