Ramires Has Revealed The Shocking Reason Why He Left Chelsea For China

Oh wow.

Ramires has insisted that he didn't opt to move to China in January for the sacks of money on offer - it was because Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink didn't like him.

The Brazilian midfielder was a cult figure at Stamford Bridge, but joined Jiangsu Suning during the winter transfer window in a surprise deal thought to be worth around £25 million.

He won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup during his trophy-laden spell in London, and claims he might still be at the club now if it weren't for Guus Hiddink.

Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho as interim boss until the end of this season, and Ramires says he was never going to get a chance under the Dutchman.

Speaking via The Mirror, he said: "One of the big reasons I left Chelsea was the arrival of the new coach.

"He didn't like me as a player or my way and decided very rashly that he wasn't going to give me an opportunity to fight for a place in his team.

"I was a long time out of matches there and I wanted to join in and help a team that was not in a great moment.

"Hiddink's arrival really complicated things for me and I just don't know why... but I guess that's football."

Despite the sudden and seemingly bitter departure from Chelsea, Ramires goes on to claim that he still holds the club in high regard, and will remember his time with the Blues fondly.

He added:

"I am a Chelsea supporter and want the club to get back into the Champions League as quickly as possible because that is where they belong.

"I've only thankful things to say about Chelsea because they made me who I am today - the name I have in football and a style that people like me for."

What do you think of his comments? Should Hiddink have given the Brazilian more of a chance?
