One of the biggest surprises to emerge from Euro 2016 was the string of eye catching performances put on by France's Moussa Sissoko, with the Newcastle United man particularly impressing during last night's final against Portugal.

It would appear that being relegated with the Magpies last season triggered Sissoko into putting himself in the shop window during the European Championships in order to avoid spending a campaign in The Championship. Now, with Premier League trio Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all interested in the Frenchman, along with Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle have named their price for one of their most prized assets.

The Newcastle Chronicle has revealed that Sissoko will set any potential buyers back Β£35m:

"Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked with Sissoko but as yet there are no concrete offers on the table for the ex-Toulouse man."

"Were Newcastle to command such a fee it would equal a club record transfer fee in terms of cash received for a player with Andy Carroll sold for the same figure in 2011 to Liverpool."

It would seem that, despite only scoring one league goal last season and turning in a series of below par performances, Sissoko is still highly valued at St. James' Park. Whether any of his fanciers value him as highly remains to be seen, though.
