Rafael Benitez is hellbent on signing new talent ahead of deadline day, and it appears he's set his sights on his next transfer target.

The Spanish boss has been left frustrated following the lack of signings, this month.

Newcastle United have failed to land many new players with the club only drafting in Chelsea's Kenedy on loan, while missing out on Liverpool's Daniel Sturrdige who opted to return to the Midlands in the shape of West Brom.

But Benitez remains active in the market. Though he hasn't got long left to secure signings.

And another player who he's keeping tabs on his Real Madrid's Marcos Llorente per AS. The 23-year-old has barely featured this season, and is attracting plenty of interest from around Europe.

As well as Newcastle, La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruna are also monitoring his situation ahead of landing Llorente on a season-long loan.

Both sides are battling out for his services.

He's played a bit-part role under Zinedine Zidane with the club reportedly keen on him gaining regular first team football away from the Bernabeu.
