Players Aren't The Only Chelsea Staff Moving To Vitesse Arnhem

They've out Chelsea'd themselves.

There's a lot of Chelsea players that you've likely never heard of or will ever know played for Chelsea when they inevitably leave. They're like the unheard of Josh McEachran's of this world, which takes some doing, and they've likely been in Arnhem at some point.

Vitesse Arnhem, the Dutch Eredivisie side, seem to be Chelsea's dumping ground for their youth players who they don't want to play in the first team but aren't willing to sell to someone else or even loan them out to another English side. It's an agreement that helps the Blues reserves get first team football and Vitesse get some very talented players to play.

Last season the Stamford Bridge club had 30 players out on loan at some point or another with Lewis Baker, Danilo Pantic, Isaiah Brown and Nathan all sent to Arnhem to play for the club's feeder club.

But it doesn't end with players. Chelsea have no sent a coach to Netherlands to join the 'Vitas.' Former youth coach and centre back Andy Myers has left London for the capital of the Gelderland province becoming the club's assistant manager:

And it's not been confirmed as any sort of loan deal but when you read that Myers' contract is only for a year you can't help but think he'll be back at the former Premier League champions in around 365 days.

Speaking about the signing Vitesse Technical Director Mo Allach said, "We know the players and coaches from Chelsea FC." Too right you know the players, you've worked with most of them!
