Chelsea have launched an enormous bid to sign their former striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.
Even though Inter have been going through financial difficulties and selling players as a result, there have been no signs from the club or the player that Lukaku is ready to depart this summer.
Despite being offered higher wages at Chelsea, it is widely believed that Lukaku is happy to stay in Milan.
Since the Belgian striker left Old Trafford for Milan in 2019, he has been one of the best players in the Serie A, scoring 64 goals in 95 appearances and was crucial in bringing back Inter's first Scudetto since 2010.
During Lukaku's time at Chelsea, under several managers he was unable to get game time and was eventually sent out on loan to West Brom and Everton.
After successful loan spells, Lukaku earned a move to Everton which lead to his mega transfer to Manchester United.
Lukaku has still spoken highly of the West London club despite only receiving only 10 Premier League appearances. Earlier this year when he was asked about Chelsea, he said: "Nothing but love. They gave me an opportunity to come to the Premier League as a kid
"You can't have everything in life and I'm cool with that. I'm glad that experience got me to where I am today."
It is widely reported that Thomas Tuchel is looking to add a striker to the club's armoury as their top Premier League goalscorer last season was Jorginho with just 7 goals.
Chelsea have been constantly linked with Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland however it seems that this deal is unlikely to happen at this moment in time.
