Arsenal's injury curse may be as much a part of the club's fabric as the Gunners falling apart in March, drawing Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the Champions League and finishing in fourth place. However, Arsene Wenger's injury woes have just been taken to an even more absurd level.
Even players being linked with Arsenal are now being sent to the physios room.

Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the near future as a replacement for Petr Cech, has been struck down with a knee injury that will keep the England U21 international sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
Pickford has been one of the very few bright sparks for Sunderland in yet another miserable season battling relegation for the Mackems.

The extent of the 22-year-old's injury is yet to be confirmed, but early signs are not positive.

The injury occurred during Sunderland's 3-1 Boxing Day defeat to Manchester United, when Pickford collided painfully with teammate Papa Djilobodji as the pair attempted to prevent Zlatan Ibrahimovic's effort that extended United's lead in the game to 2-0.

With the Black Cats being anything but lucky this season, sitting in 18th place, two points from safety and with vital games against Burnley, Liverpool, Stoke City and West Brom on the horizon, David Moyes will be praying that Pickford's injury is not as bad as first feared and that his first choice 'keeper's head isn't turned by Arsenal's potential advances.
Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, will be wondering where his almost decade long injury crisis is going to end and how far it's going to stretch.
