Just a day after when midfielder Nemanja Matic wants to follow Jose Mourinho to Manchester United, Atletico Madrid president has claimed that Diego Costa wants to leave Chelsea to reunite with his former club.

Matic could be on his way to Old Trafford after supposedly asking to leave Stamford Bridge, while Antonio Conte may have another star player heading for the exit in the shape of their main frontman. The 27-year-old costed Chelsea £32 million making an instant impact guiding them to a Premier League title scoring 20 league goals even with his season blighted with injuries, yet wasn't able to replicate that form for the following season scoring 16 goals despite making more appearances.

Costa was a prolific scorer for Atleti netting 43 goals in 94 appearances, and could very well be on his way back to Spain as manager Diego Simeone is focusing on new recruitment's after their league and Champions League disappointment.

According to the clubs president, Enrique Cerezo, the Spanish striker wants a move back to the Vicente Calderon, claiming; "We are there, he wants to come. But that is already complicated. Simeone wants new players and one of those is a striker. We desire a striker with goals, a good salary, and the ability to help us win many trophies.'
