Brighton have already completed an impressive signing since their promotion to the Premier League, but Chris Hughton is hoping to add to his first piece of business.

The newly-promoted club snapped up Pascal Gross from Ingolstadt with the player set to officially join when the transfer window reopens on 10th June for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed experience in the Bundesliga having compiled close to 200 appearances across the top two German tiers.

And it appears Hughton is eager to snap up another midfielder to join their ranks which includes the likes of Dale Stephens, Beram Kayal, Oliver Norwood and Steve Sidwell, to name but a few.

According to local outlet The Argus, Brighton are plotting a £10 million bid for Aaron Mooy who's impressed at Huddersfield - winning the clubs player of the year award in the process, where he's been on loan since the start of the season while helping guide his side to a fifth place league finish.

As well as bagging the club honour, the talented midfielder was also named in the Championship 'Team of the Season.'

Mooy is set to return to his parent club after Monday's Championship Play-Off Final against Reading in a game billed as the most expensive game in football.

Though the Australian international could still wind up in England's top flight if Hughton has his way.

The 26-year-old joined City last summer, signing a three-year deal after producing impressive performances at parent club Melbourne City.

But before Mooy thinks about a potential new club for next season, he has the Wembley outing to look forward too with a place in the Premier League up for grabs.
