European giants Bayern Munich and Barcelona are set to enter a transfer tug-of-war in the summer as they vie for the talents of a Arsenal reject.

According to reports in Germany and Spain, Bayern and Barca are eager to snap up Serge Gnabry who's performing wonders for his side Werder Bremen.

After starting his senior career with Arsenal, Gnabry failed to nail down a regular spot under Arsene Wenger, prompting a move away from North London.

The 21-year-old returned to Germany with Bremen and is producing the goods in the Bundesliga as well as on the international scene.

He's netted an impressive 10 goals in 21 games not to mention bagging a hat-trick on his Germany debut in a World Cup qualifier against San Marino.

Needless to say, his performances aren't going unnoticed. Per German outlet Kicker, the Bavarians are ready to follow up their interest by taking the necessary steps to acquire his services.

The club have contacted Bremen regarding a first refusal as they look to maintain their trend of poaching the best talent from within Germany.

But Carlo Ancelotti will face competition from Barcelona who are also hellbent on adding him to their ranks.
