Vozinha has become a household name following his World Cup heroics with Cape Verde and has drawn the interest of several teams, with another major club entering the race to sign him on a free transfer this summer.
The 40-year-old was a pivotal part of the Cape Verde side that reached the round of 32 in the nation’s first-ever World Cup before their dream tournament came to an end with a 3-2 defeat to Argentina, which had to go to extra time to separate the sides.
Ahead of the World Cup, Vozinha had announced his exit from Liga Portugal 2 side Chaves, perhaps even believing the tournament could have been the last time he pulled on the gloves professionally.
However, now following his performance at the 2026 World Cup, it has been reported that he has been inundated with offers from clubs around the globe.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chilean giants Colo-Colo have submitted an initial proposal before the keeper’s representatives responded with a counter-offer.
It must also be noted that the Liga de Primera champions are also interested in Uruguayan international and Monterrey keeper Santiago Mele.

Vozinha is looking for one more footballing challenge before he calls time on his career, adding to the 280 appearances across his 19-year career, having featured in leagues across multiple continents.
He has represented teams across Europe and Africa, including in the nations of Cape Verde, Angola, Moldova, Cyprus, Slovakia, and Portugal.
Now, this opportunity to play in South America may be enticing for the goalkeeper to make it the third continent that he will have represented a club in his career.
Vozinha has been part of the incredible Cape Verde journey across the last 14 years, as he was part of the squad that qualified for their first-ever African Cup of Nations in 2013, with it also being the same year he made his debut for his nation.
Since then, he has earned 94 caps for the island nation while also representing them in another three African Cup of Nations before being a key piece of the team to make history by playing in their first World Cup this summer.
Now, he has the chance to write the next chapter in his career, and possibly the last one, as Colo-Colo appear to be attempting to get his signature.
