Endrick's true feelings on life at Real Madrid revealed amid links to shock Premier League club

The Brazil international only joined the club in the summer.

Endrick’s true feelings about life at Real Madrid have emerged just four months after the Brazil international arrived at the club.

Endrick, 18, arrived in the Spanish capital following his eighteenth birthday in July 2024, having already reached an agreement with Palmeiras in December 2022.

The move was surrounded by mass fan and media attention, but so far, life in Madrid has not gone as he may have liked - having scored just twice in ten competitive appearances for Los Blancos.

Of course, even playing for Madrid at such a tender age is an achievement, but given the talent Endrick has shown in Brazil, he may have expected to have a more prevalent role in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

However, the 18-year-old has been linked with a loan move to Premier League side Southampton, according to Fichajes - with Serie A outfit AS Roma and Spanish side Real Valladolid also mentioned.

But he has been “focused on daily work until his opportunity arrives,” as per Spanish outlet Marca.

Despite his lack of playing time, Endrick’s manager Ancelotti insisted he was “not worried” when discussing the player’s fortunes following a 3-1 win against Stuttgart in September in which the Brazilian scored.

"I was worried before and during the match,” said Ancelotti.

“I’m not worried anymore now. Endrick had courage in that last ball of the match.

“The best solution was to take advantage of the three against one, but he was convinced. He did it very well. It was the most complicated solution, but it worked out very well for him.

"He is capable of doing things that no one can think of. At least, I didn't think of that. He has the gift of being very effective. You can see that he has something special. And a very strong and very fast shot."

As ever, most young players need time to develop, but this can prove difficult when teams have a poor run of form, which Madrid has done so far this season – currently sitting second in La Liga – behind arch-rivals Barcelona.

The 15-time European champions are also 16th in the Champions League group phase after sustaining shock losses against Lille and AC Milan this term.

Fellow Brazilian and Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque found himself in a similar predicament when he arrived in Catalonia in December 2024.

The 19-year-old struggled to get to grips with the level of the Spanish topflight at Barca, but a loan spell to Real Betis has allowed him to prove his worth - already scoring three league goals for the Andalusians.
