Sir Dave Brailsford was asked by a young Manchester United about signing Kylian Mbappe.

After weeks of speculation, it was reported on Thursday afternoon that Mbappe has finally made a decision on his Paris Saint Germain future.

According to The Athletic, the 25-year-old has said to the club that he will leave at the end of the 23/24 season.

After the latest development, a video of a young United fan asking INEOS director of sport Brailsford to sign Mbappe has emerged. You can watch the footage below.

The fan asked: “Can we buy Mbappe?”

Brailsford smiled before appearing to say that the Frenchman is 'set on going to Real Madrid'.

In recent years, Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes club.

Back in 2022, Mbappe made a last-minute U-turn to reject a move to Madrid and ended up signing a new deal with PSG.

Last month, it was reported that Liverpool have become the most credible and dangerous candidate for PSG regarding Mbappe’s future.

However, it has since been reported that the Anfield club rejected the chance to sign Mbappe.

According to The Independent, Mbappe’s team got in touch with Liverpool over a potential transfer.

However, the Anfield club did not make an offer due to the Frenchman’s salary, which is set to break the club’s wage structure.

Last summer, PSG reportedly received a huge bid worth £259 million for Mbappe from Saudi Professional League club Al Hilal, but it was then claimed Mbappe rejected a move to the Middle East.

Madrid are now said to have a clear path to finally seal Mbappe’s signature.

Daily Mail reports that Los Blancos are ready to make Mbappe the top earner at the club, plus a reported signing-on fee of around £85.5 million.

If his move to Madrid is to happen, Mbappe is set to take the number 10 shirt from Luka Modric, who is set to depart in the summer.
