Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a last-minute move for a top Bundesliga player this summer, amid links with Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.

The Merseyside club have been quiet so far in the 2024/25 transfer window as, despite a deal with Georgian keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili reportedly in the final stages, they remain the only Premier League club yet to make a senior signing this summer.

Apart from a new keeper, Liverpool appear to be interested in signing another forward to add to their already impressive front line, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that the club have enquired about a deal for Chiesa.

And now a new report suggests that the Reds may be looking at a highly-rated Bundesliga as another potential forward option, if a deal for Chiesa falls through.

French journalist Nabil Djellit has claimed that Liverpool are interested in Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as a potential offensive option this window.

The winger made just 27 appearances for the Bundesliga giants last season, averaging just over 60 minutes a game and scoring five goals and with three assists

Coman has also made two appearances for Bayern this season, coming off the bench and scoring in the season opening match against SSV Ulm.

In total, the 28-year-old has made 294 appearances since joining Bayern from Juventus in 2017, scoring 63 goals and providing 66 assists

But Liverpool aren't the only Premier League club said to be interested in securing the forward ahead of the transfer window closing on Friday, with Arsenal also monitoring the situation.

Football Insider are reporting that, due to Arsenal's desire to bring in a wide forward by the end of the window, they are interested in Bayern's hope to move Coman on in a loan-to-buy deal this week.

However, while Coman is an option for both clubs, other targets remain their priority, with Chiesa seen as Liverpool's first choice attacking signing this summer.

And, having been left out of Juventus' squad for the 3-0 win over Verona on Monday, it would appear that the 26-year-old is set for a move away from the Serie A side.

Barcelona have also been heavily linked but the Italian international is said to be keen on moving to the Premier League.
