Alexis Mac Allister has already made clear who Liverpool should sign in the January transfer window.

During the summer transfer window, Liverpool lost the likes of James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.

In turn, Jurgen Klopp brought in midfield reinforcements including Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Liverpool have been linked with more midfielders.

According to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Anfield club could target Boca Juniors star Ezequiel Fernandez.

Speaking about Fernandez earlier in the year, it seems that Mac Allister has already given his seal of approval if Liverpool are interested in his compatriot.

He told TyC Sports: “If you ask me a little more about my style, there is a player that I really like and that is Equi Fernandez.

“He is a player who has all the conditions to reach Europe one day and I hope that can happen to him.”

Mac Allister continued: “He is a player that I like a lot, he understands the game a lot. He is always prepared to receive the ball, he plays with both legs, he can play as a five, as an inside player… he is a player who has certain very good conditions and, if Brighton asked me, I would say his name.”

Apart from Fernandez, Liverpool have also been linked with Fluminense midfielder Andre.

The Brazilian club’s president, Mario Bittencourt told ESPN in September: “We chose not to sell him because we believed that we would reach the final stages of the Libertadores. It was a decision sporting criteria.

“In the case of Liverpool, I go even further. Liverpool's chief executive [Billy Hogan] contacted me directly.”
