Chelsea defender Levi Colwill was asked about joining Liverpool during an Instagram live, his answer has got fans talking.

Over the last few weeks, there has been speculation about Colwill’s future after an impressive season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Despite having a contract until the summer of 2025, the 20-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Whilst on holiday, Colwill was quizzed about joining Liverpool during an Instagram live. You can watch the footage below.

Colwill was told: “Even my Jamaican bredrens [mates] are saying Levi to Liverpool.” To which the Chelsea man said: “[I] said no football talk, man.”

Fans were quick to react to the video on social media.

One said: “You hear that giggle from Colwill?? He’s coming to Liverpool.”

Another tweeted: “That’s it, it’s done. Colwill to Liverpool confirmed.”

A third fan added: “The awkward silence is sending me.”

Someone else wrote: “These Liverpool fans be moving mad on the Levi Colwill agenda. From Enzo, to Jude B. And now this.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Here we go again, does he know something we don’t? LFC sign him up!”

After helping England seal the U21 Euro in Georgia last week, Colwill spoke about his future.

He said: “I’ll speak to my family, speak to everyone I need to and make a decision.

“I’ve got to play at the end of the day to hopefully get there [England senior team] and go to the next camp.”

It is believed that new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is to hold talks with the defender when he returns to pre-season.

To date, it has been reported that Brighton have already had two bids for the defender rejected by Chelsea as they remain adamant that Colwill is not for sale.

Chelsea will begin their 23/24 Premier League season with a huge clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
