Top 50 most valuable players eligible to leave on a free transfer this summer, they could all sign a pre-contract this month

Top 50 most valuable players eligible to leave on a free transfer this summer, they could all sign a pre-contract this month

It's an elite list

Today, as we begin 2024, some of the world’s best talent enters the last six months of their contract.

Players set to have their contracts expire in the summer are not allowed to negotiate with interested foreign clubs ahead of a free transfer at the end of the season.

Of course, Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, widely recognised as one of the world's finest football players, is among those free to negotiate with clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer.

The World Cup winner, runner-up and Golden Boot winner has been frequently linked with a Real Madrid move across the past few years and the high-profile transfer saga could be in its final chapter.

However, several other players with expiring contracts are likely to attract interest from Europe’s elite clubs.

Mbappe’s France national team colleague Adrien Rabiot has also entered the final six months of his contract at Juventus. Manchester United are among the sides to have expressed an interest in the 28-year-old midfielder in the past.

Speaking on United, Anthony Martial and defensive duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof are now technically free to negotiate with other clubs.

However, it has been widely reported that Lindelof has already agreed to a one-year contract extension, with Wan-Bissaka set to follow the centre-back’s lead.

Elsewhere, West Ham’s Tomas Soucek and Pablo Fornals are both in the final six months of their contracts, as is Burnley’s Josh Brownhill.
