One Premier League club 'could consider' a shock move for Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, it has been reported.

Ever since making his debut for Napoli back in 2022, Georgian winder Kvaratskhelia developed into one of the most sought-after players in world football.

Due to his impressive skills with the ball at his feet, the 23-year-old has been linked with a move to clubs around the continent, including the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.

On Thursday afternoon, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media: "Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has definitely opened doors to January exit. PSG, on it. Paris Saint-Germain, favorites and in direct contact with Napoli — as revealed today.

"Package around €80m discussed while Kvara’s camp in talks with PSG over personal terms, progressing well."

However, on Thursday evening, The Athletic's David Ornstein provided a major twist in the Kvaratskhelia transfer saga.

Premier League club could consider moving for Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Ornstein claimed that Premier League leaders Liverpool could consider a move for the winger.

He wrote on social media: "Liverpool could consider move to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if leaves Napoli in Jan.

"LFC not actively seeking winger but admire 23yo, alert to situation + may contend if becomes market opportunity. PSG and CFC also among interested clubs."

The report from The Athletic stated: "Paris Saint-Germain are emerging as the leading contenders, while Kvaratskhelia also features on the list of potential targets for teams like Chelsea.

"Napoli are in no rush to lose a player who has scored 30 goals and added 29 assists in 107 appearances for the club and would only countenance a sale for a significant fee."

So far in the 24/25 season, Kvaratskhelia has managed five goals and three assists in 19 matches across all competitions for Napoli.

Speaking in 2023, Kvaratskhelia's Napoli teammate Victor Osimhen tipped him to win the Ballon d'Or in the future, he said: "Everyone loves him in the dressing room, not only for what he does on the pitch but also for what he does off the pitch.

"I believe he can win the Ballon d'Or in the next few years, I hope he also brings many successes to Napoli."
