Joshua Kimmich could finally make Premier League move in last big transfer of his career

Joshua Kimmich could finally make Premier League move in last big transfer of his career

Joshua Kimmich has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich could join the Premier League next season, according to stunning reports.

Kimmich has been at Bayern since 2015 but a move away from the club has been mooted.

He's out of contact at the end of next season, with several clubs across Europe's major leagues keeping tabs on his situation.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Kimmich, who has been an integral part of Bayern's success over the years.

He's played 367 games for the club and has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season.

Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his midfield options following Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 25 per cent acquisition of Man United.

The Red Devils languish in eighth place in the table, eight points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham.

A transfer overhaul could be on the cards ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with Man United keen on the German international.

A transfer during the January transfer window appears unlikely, but he could be available next summer.

However, Man United are not the only team pursuing the 28-year-old as Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in the player.

Not to mention La Liga outfit Barcelona, who were linked with Kimmich last summer.

Man United's midfield could need revamping as three players could depart at the end of the season.

Casemiro, who joined from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Reports in Germany suggest the veteran Brazilian has a 'big desire' to play for Bayern.

Sofyan Amrabat may not have done enough to secure a permanent deal at Man United, having failed to make a big impression following his loan switch.

Donny van de Beek is set to sign for Eintracht Frankfurt next month, which will leave a hole in Ten Hag's squad.
