Benjamin Sesko has made his feelings clear on the prospect of moving to the Premier League.

Benjamin Sesko has made his feelings clear on the prospect of moving to the Premier League.

It has been widely reported that Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko this summer.

Sesko has been the subject of Premier League interest after a good season in the Bundesliga where he netted on 14 occasions, ending the campaign with seven goals in seven consecutive games.

While the Evening Standard claim Arsenal may look to whittle down his £56million release clause, Chelsea are prepared to pay that fee for the 21-year-old.

Back in 2023, Sesko told the Guardian he would be open to playing in the Premier League, but at the time stressed he didn’t want to get carried away by his rise.

Sesko said: “It’s hard to say what will happen.

“I could be great or not that great. Of course, it would be nice to play there, but first of all, let’s focus on right now and we will see what happens later.”

The Evening Standard has alleged that Arsenal have been given encouragement that they hold an early edge in the pursuit of Sesko, but that will not deter Chelsea should they opt to step up their interest.

The Blues had also been linked to Victor Osimhen for some time, but are not thought to be prepared to shell out the required £100million to sign the Napoli forward.

Chelsea also allegedly have a long-standing interest in Brighton’s Evan Ferguson but are not set to make a move for the 19-year-old this summer.

Nicolas Jackson endured a mixed first campaign at Chelsea, scoring 14 Premier League goals but also being responsible for a spate of costly misses.

Chelsea’s transfer business will likely step up now Enzo Maresca has been confirmed as the club’s new manager. The Italian described his switch to Stamford Bridge as a “dream”.
