A Premier League club has entered the race to sign Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho, according to stunning reports.

And, according to L'Equipe, Chelsea are now plotting a move for Garnacho.

Chelsea are looking to bolster their attacking options, with the French outlet also claiming the Blues are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi.

The club's pursuit of Garnacho comes after reports linking Christopher Nkunku with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge.

If Nkunku leaves Chelsea, then Enzo Maresca will eye a replacement, with Garnacho among the players he's interested in signing.

Garnacho started Man United's 3-1 league victory over Southampton on Thursday.

He also started his side's FA Cup triumph over Arsenal last weekend, with Ruben Amorim asked about the 20-year-old following the result at the Emirates.

Amorim said he sees the Argentine international as part of his plans for the future, saying: "That is clear. He has talent.

"I think he changed the way he sees himself," added Amorim, who praised the winger for adapting to his system.

"He's finding the best way to play in this system and is improving during training.

"He improves a lot in the recovering position when he doesn't have the ball. But doing that, sometimes he's not in the right place to make transitions like he was in the past."

Garnacho graduated from Man United's famed youth academy after being poached from Atletico Madrid.

He has made 117 appearances for the club, scoring 23 goals.

He scored 10 goals in 50 games last season and already has eight goals to his name this campaign, having featured in 20 league games.
