The 50 Greatest British Players Of All Time Have Been Ranked By Fans

Sir Bobby Charlton has been named the best British player of all time by fans ahead of fellow legend Bobby Moore.

The 82-year-old football icon captured major silverware during a legendary playing career for both club and country.

Charlton, who spent 17 years at Manchester United, won three league titles, an FA Cup, a European Cup and the Ballon d'Or during his illustrious time at Old Trafford.

And the former Red Devils star also played his part in England's 1966 World Cup triumph.

Charlton also held the record for being United and England's all-time record scorers, but Wayne Rooney would break both of those records.

Speaking of Rooney, fans over at Ranker ultimately ranked the ex-United star 10th behind former Red Devils teammate Paul Scholes.

Moore finished behind Charlton in second place, while United legend David Beckham and Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard finished third and fourth respectively.
