Tiemoue Bakayako's long-awaited has been wrapped up today, and Blues fans will be hoping he can produce a similar level of performance to the one he served up against Paris-Saint Germain.

The Monaco star had been earmarked as a top target by Chelsea, but it feels like the deal has dragged on forever.

The £40 million move is all done and dusted now though, with Bakayoko takes the No.14 shirt, and signs a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.

Now supporters can look forward to see what Bakayoko can produce at Stamford Bridge, and if his display against Paris Saint-Germain in the 3-1 win at Stade Louis II is anything to go by, Chelsea fans are in for a treat when the 22-year old slots in midfield with compatriot N'Golo Kante.

Of course, one cannot simply make a complete judgement on a player based on YouTube compilations but it certainly offers a glimpse to what Chelsea fans can expect to see from their new man.

In this instance, he was up against a talented midfield trio of Thiago Motta, Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot but completely overpowered them with a powerful and combative display.

He's not all physical attributes and breaking up the play though, proving that here with several impressive dribbles and a couple of tidy defence-splitting passes. In Chelsea's current system, Bakayoko would appear to be the perfect fit in central midfielder, mopping things up, giving N'Golo Kante an extra engine and providing Chelsea's attacking players to the freedom to work their magic.

Bakayoko had been teasing Chelsea fans for a while before the move was officially announced.

No more teasing is necessary, as Bakayoko is now officially a Chelsea player and joins up with the squad for their pre-season tour in the Far East.
