If you're picking the best goalkeeper in Europe on the basis of this season, David De Gea would be an absolute shoo-in given his sublime displays in between the sticks for Manchester United.
The Spaniard has kept 14 clean sheets season but you may be surprised to discover that he isn't quite the clean sheet king this term - though he has played less games than the man with more shutouts than him.

That's because Wolves goalkeeper John Ruddy has 15 clean sheets to his name for Nuno Espirito Santo's table-topping Championship side and is therefore the top dog.
The former Norwich goalkeeper, who has been capped once by England, has played in 29 league games this season and has only failed to keep out the opposition on 14 occasions.
Granted, the 31-year old is playing in the second tier rather than a top flight league but it remains an impressive accomplishment - and with Wolves destined for promotion, it'll be interesting to see if he can replicate his heroics in the Premier League.
Another Championship goalkeeper is also high up in the clean sheets - with former England shotstopper Scott Carson, now at second-placed Derby County, level with De Gea on 14.
Cadiz's Alberto Cifuentes, who plays in the second tier of Spanish football, has also recorded the same amount. Moving up a league, Barca's No.1 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has conceded a mere nine goals this term and has 13 clean sheets from 20 league games.
Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak and Chelsea's former Atleti loanee Thibaut Courtois are one behind MATS' on 12, while Manchester City's sweeper keeper Ederson has collected 11 in a brilliant start to life in the Premier League.
