Ronaldinho knows a wondergoal when he sees one.

The Brazilian made a career out of stunning strikes such as the free-kick that caught out David Seaman in the 2002 World Cup, a stunning solo goal to silence the Bernabeu in 2005 as well as the greatest toebunger of all-time against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the same year.

And R10 has revealed that he was a big fan of the spectacular strike goal Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli scored against Crystal Palace last season and explained that it was the sort of goal he would like to score.

Without the ball touching the floor, Alli famously flicked the ball over the onrushing Mile Jedinak and scored a stunning goal on the volley in a 3-1 win at Selhurst Park last year.

Speaking to Four Four Two, Ronaldinho raved about that magical moment Alli produced in a fruitful 2015/16 campaign that saw him pick up the PFA Young Player of The Year.

He said:

"I saw Dele Alli's goal last year and it looked like a goal I would like to score, there's no explanation for goals like that.

"It's very thrilling to inspire someone to such a great goal. I can barely put it all into words."

The 36-year old's comments will no doubt come as a huge compliment for Alli, who did his very best to score a carbon copy of Ronaldinho's goal against Chelsea back in the day as part of BT Sport's 'Goals Recreated' series.

High praise indeed from Ronaldinho to one of England's biggest young talents.
