Liverpool's way of playing under Jurgen Klopp is designed for direct and pacey attackers and the club's latest transfer target would appear to fit the profile.

The Reds have already sealed deals for central midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho, while they are also keen on strengthening their already deadly attack with the addition of Lyon's Nabil Fekir, who will likely cost around £52 million.

But the Champions League finalists are also exploring the option of a considerably cheaper attack, with news emerging last night that they are eyeing a move for KAA Gent's Nigerian international Moses Simon.

The 22-year old, who plays on the left, has been capped 20 times by his country and made 33 appearances for Gent last term, scoring six times.

From just one clip that is doing the rounds, it's clear to see that the nifty winger is serious speedster as he plays a tidy one-two and marauds towards goal from his own half, before supplying a cool finish. Not a bad little celebration to cap it off, too.

The opposition right-back had absolutely no chance of keeping up with him, with Simon's explosiveness just too much to handle.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were both breathtakingly good from wide areas last season but with the likes of Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke failing to impress as back-up Liverpool ought to add depth in those areas ahead of this season.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Simon would command a fee of £10 million. One fan on Twitter has put together a comprehensive thread on the Super Eagles star, detailing his style and strengths.

Liverpool fans, would you be pleased with Simon coming in as a back-up? How desperate are you to land Fekir?

Sound off in the comments.
