Barcelona rounded off Luis Enrique's three year reign as manager at the Camp Nou by sealing their third consecutive Copa Del Rey, last night

Enrique's team ran out 3-1 winners over Alaves at the Vicente Calderon in Madrid, with Lionel Messi playing a starring role as per usual.

He opened the scoring before laying on Paco Alcacer for the trophy-sealing third goal.

A one-two with Neymar was followed by a typically brilliant finish from the Argentinean to give the Blaugrana the lead. Alaves left-back Theo Hernandez, who is widely expected to join Real Madrid once his loan spell from Atletico is finished, equalised with a stunning curling free-kick.

Neymar got Barca's noses back in front though, before Messi produced another magical piece of play for the third and final goal.

After picking up the ball on the near touchline, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner effortlessly ruined four Alaves players, leaving them in his wake, before sliding a perfectly-weighted reverse pass into the path of Alcacer, who did the business.

The trophy is, staggeringly, the 30th of Messi's career and saved Barca from a trophyless campaign after they were pipped to the La Liga title by Real Madrid and eliminated from the Champions League by Juventus.

And of course, another Messi masterclass saw him reach another incredible record.

As per The Mirror, his opening goal in the game means he has scored in four different Copa Del Rey finals, after striking in 2017, 2015, 2012 and 2009 respectively.

You have to go as far back as 1950, where Atletico Madrid hero, Telmo Zarra, the Athletic Bilbao talisman who scored a total of 81 goals in the Copa Del Rey in his glittering career, achieved the feat.

He's a bit alright that Messi lad, isn't he?
