Henrikh Mkhitaryan took to Instagram to post a brilliant message following his move to Arsenal from Manchester United.

A summer signing in Jose Mourinho's first season in charge, the Armenian never really got going at Old Trafford despite flashes of brilliance and some encouraging performances in Europe.

Watch: Incredible footballer transformations:

He was highly prolific in the Europa League-winning campaign, scoring a bagful of goals - including the second goal in the 2-0 win over Ajax in the final in Stockholm.

Undoubtedly, his highlight at the club was his insane scorpion kick scored against Sunderland on Boxing Day and he made sure that got a big mention in his classy post

You never quite got the impression the former Shakhtar and Borussia Dortmund man was cut out for playing for Jose Mourinho but the move down south to Arsenal could be exactly what he needs.

A boyhood Arsenal fan growing up, 'Micki' is buzzing about joining Arsene Wenger's side.

"I'm very happy that we could finish this deal and I'm very happy to be here. It's a dream come true because I've always dreamed of playing for Arsenal," he told the official Arsenal website.

"Now that I'm here, I'll do my best for this club to create history."

Mkhitaryan went on to say that watching Thierry Henry tear it up on a regular basis led to his infatuation with the Gunners.

"I always loved the way Arsenal played, the way Arsene Wenger has managed the team," he added.

"He had young players and was always managing them and they were doing very good."

"And of course I was in love with the game of Thierry Henry. I loved the way he played, and maybe that was the reason to support Arsenal.

Will we see the real Mkhitaryan at Arsenal?
