After his strike against Germany in tonight's clash in Group B of the Confederations Cup, Alexis Sanchez is officially the highest scorer in the history of the Chilean national team.
The Arsenal man capitalised on an error from his colleague, Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi, and poked the ball home with his left foot to put his side in the lead early on.

Going into the game, the former Barcelona man was level with Marcelo Salas, who had scored 37 times for La Roja.
But now at 28 years of age, Sanchez is a record-breaker.
